Early Childhood

About Early Childhood

The early years of a child’s life are crucial for optimal development and our classes provide early learning opportunities for families and their children from prenatal to age five. We believe that parents are their child’s first and most influential teacher and we partner with families to positively guide every child’s development. Our inclusive Early Childhood programs provide high-quality learning environments where children become independent, confident, lifelong learners with a strong sense of self. Families are encouraged to be actively involved in the programs through preschool orientation, family-teacher conferences, classroom volunteering, and family group connections.

Our Programs

  • Parents as Teachers (prenatal - 5 years old)
Parents as Teachers™ (PAT) is a home visitor program available to all families with children birth to 5 who live within Salt Lake City School District boundaries. Families are served free of charge, on a voluntary basis. PAT is based on the premise that parents are the first and most influential teachers of their children.
  • Parent and Child Together Preschool Classes for Infant/Toddler and 3 year-old children
The family is at the center of a young child’s development. Our parent-child classes provide opportunities for families to contribute their expertise to the classroom community learning experience where you will play, explore, and learn with your child in a creative and stimulating environment. Parents and children participate together to enrich the children’s learning experience.
  • Pre-Kindergarten Classes (4 years old by September 1, 2018)
Our pre-kindergarten classes provide a high-quality learning environment where children become independent, confident, lifelong learners with a strong sense of self. We proudly offer a positive, child-centered preschool experience that fosters a love of learning in a nurturing school community.
